Problem Note 42213: You might receive a warning message if the IDVAR variable for a machine contains an ampersand (&) in one of its values
When you use the %RMDUPCHK macro with DUPMODE=DISCARD in SAS® IT Resource Management, and the IDVAR variable that is assigned contains an ampersand (&) in one of its values, you might receive the following message (where nn is any character string):
WARNING: Apparent symbolic reference nn not resolved.
The code in the RMDUPCHK macro produces this message, and manipulates the IDVAR variable using double quotes. The warning message and the ampersand in the IDVAR variable will not hamper the functionality or effectiveness of duplicate data checking.
